PORELLE® MEMBRANE
The Porelle® membrane that DexShell selected to use has a Water Vapor Permeability (WVP) index of 15,000 g/m2.day ASTM E96:95. The membrane is also resistant to a range of chemicals and weak acids, and it passed the viral penetration test ISO 16604 made by Nelson Labs. Porelle membranes are manufactured by PIL Membranes Ltd with over 40 years’ experience in the marketplace. Porelle® is the registered trademark of KL Technologies Group Limited.
MERINO WOOL
Warm, moisture-repellent, and anti-static, Merino has the capacity to deal with moisture like no other yarn, absorbing perspiration and releasing it into the air as vapor. It is naturally odor-resistant, too. Luxuriously soft and gentle against the skin, Merino reacts to your body’s temperature, keeping you warm when it’s cold while releasing body heat and moisture when it’s hot. The natural elasticity and resilience of Merino wool enable it to spring back into shape with ease. DexShell only uses mulesing-free guaranteed merino wool.
COOLMAX® YARN
COOLMAX® is a performance yarn that includes an effective fiber-based moisture management system. The system can move perspiration away from the body, through the fabric, and transfer it out of the wear. COOLMAX® is the registered trademark of Invista®.
REPREVE® RECYCLED YARN
REPREVE® is the world’s No. 1 brand of recycled fiber. REPREVE‘s high-quality fibers are made from 100% recycled materials, including post-consumer plastic bottles and pre-consumer waste. DEXDRI™️ YARN
Dexdri™️ is a type of lightweight water-repellent yarn engineered by DexShell for its range of waterproof socks. The yarn is made of super-fine denier polypropylene fiber, which inherits properties of mildew resistance and heat retention. Featuring softness and durability, socks knitted with Dexdri yarn are much drier than other outdoor socks made of regular artificial fibers, thus significantly reducing the chance of blistering.
DRIRELEASE® TECHNOLOGY
drirelease® technology uses an engineered blend of multi-denier, multi-staple length hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibers to keep wearers dry, cool, and comfortable. The unique blend of synthetic and natural fibers in drirelease® yarn actually accelerates the water release rate.
