DEXSHELL STORY
The DexShell story began in 2010, when our founder James, then a workaholic in business management, wanted to break his routine and set off on his first adventurous trip to trek the Annapurna Circuit. Along the route, he found himself facing a challenge of muddy, mountainous trails – far beyond what he could endure. Amid the arduous journey, a thought sparked and kept lingering, drawn from his years of professional knowledge and experience in the waterproof performance fabric industry: Why can’t regular hiking socks be integrated with a waterproof breathable membrane to keep feet truly dry and warm, without trapping heat or sweat? Recognizing the untapped potential of waterproof socks, James set out to redefine waterproof comfort for outdoor adventurers.
Today, DexShell is a marketer and manufacturer of waterproof breathable socks and accessories based at Shanghai. But at our core, we see ourselves more of an innovator – revolutionizing this product category and introducing a new level of protection for outdoor enthusiasts facing the elements.
Our growing team includes not just outdoor gear engineers, but also people who love running, hiking, cycling, and outdoor adventuring in all climates. As such, we test the products that we develop in-house while extensively collaborate with athletes worldwide for rigorous field trials – ensuring DexShell gear performs when it matters most.
